Before and After: A Chakra Story

I recently attended a writing retreat in the forest of Oregon. We were a small group, each of us tucked away in our own tiny A-framed cabin with a desk and a view of lush ferns and trees right outside the window.

At the beginning of the retreat, I took aura and chakra photos of each person in attendance. After a weekend of creative camaraderie and working on our individual drafts, I took our photos again.

The photos above are the before and after photos of one of the writers in attendance.

On the left, you can see that her lower chakras were quite active. She was grounded, creative, and walking in her power. However, the upper chakras were pretty small, especially her heart, throat, and crown chakras. Her aura colors indicated passion, intellect, strong will, and creativity.

After the weekend, you can see in the photo on the right that her aura colors still had elements of intellect and creativity, but were mostly about peace, healing, and teacher energy. Her heart and throat chakras expanded greatly.

The change was astonishing! I asked her what she thought happened, and she said that she started writing a story that she’d been holding inside for twenty years.

My take on this is that she finally started speaking her truth, which opened her throat chakra. As a result, her heart chakra also expanded. It was obvious to me that her book is going to bring healing and love into the world and that she’ll be teaching a lesson of love that will help others heal and speak their own truth.

I have a new aura camera and taking chakra photos is a new thing for me. It was an amazing gift to actually see this extraordinary shift as this person followed her heart and opened her throat. I can’t wait to read her book when it’s done.
